Big News from Magdalen House – Congratulations Kate! 🎉
We are delighted to share some fantastic news from Magdalen House. Today, Kate Stevens has officially received her CQC Registration – a wonderful achievement and an important step forward for GCT.
This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Magdalen House, and we want to say a massive congratulations to Kate. Her leadership and experience will be invaluable as she takes Magdalen House forward.
Meet Kate Stevens – Our New Registered Manager
Kate brings with her over 20 years of experience in the health and social care sector. Her career began as a teenager, working weekends in the laundry of her local village nursing home. From there, she gained experience in a variety of roles, working her way from Care Assistant through to Unit Manager.
In 2015, Kate achieved her Level 5 in Leadership and Management and became a Registered Manager. Since then, she has successfully managed both Nursing and Residential Homes, with a strong focus on supporting people living with Dementia.
Kate has a clear passion for her career, describing how important it is to her that residents receive the very best care and that staff feel truly valued. She loves people, thrives as part of a team, and is committed to building on the excellent work already happening at Magdalen House.
Beyond Work
Outside of her professional life, Kate is a devoted mum to a very active 8-year-old son, and much of her spare time is spent cheering him on from the sidelines of football and rugby pitches. She is also the proud mum of an English Bulldog named Harold 🐾.
